During the height of Turtlemania a string of low budget, live action stage performances of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles swept the United States. Not long after, an even lower budget live-ish action Christmas special was released direct to home video starring everyone’s favorite Pizza eating Turtles.This “movie” is infamous among connoisseurs of terrible with a Rotten Tomatoes score of only 13%. We had never seen it before, and if we had, we more or less blocked it from our memory. Is it Truly as bad as people say? Does it have any redeeming qualities?
